I base my pricing on the length of the article, extent of research, and overall complexity of the project. Generally speaking, the rates listed below are based on standard projects with moderate amounts of research. Rates are subject to negotiation depending on the nature of the project.
- Writing
The following rates are for articles, blog posts, or other text.
200 words or less (quarter page): $10
250-350 words (half page): $15
400-550 words (one page): $25
600-750 words (one and a half pages): $35
800-1000 words (two pages): $45
For projects over 1000 words, the cost is $45 for the first 1000 words and $25 per page (as defined above) after that.
- Editing
$20 per hour
I charge by the hour rather than by the page for editing. This saves my clients and me the task of determining the extent of the editing needed, which can vary quite a bit in one document. I have years of experience billing time (I used to be a legal assistant), so rest assured that I will only bill you for time actively spent editing your project.
Turnaround time varies according to project complexity, but I will give you an honest estimate after we discuss your project. I will be in contact with you throughout the project’s duration to inform you of my progress.
Payment by check or money order is preferred, but PayPal is accepted. I will send you an invoice between the 3rd and the 5th of the month for work done the previous month.
