I base my pricing on the length of the article, extent of research, and overall complexity of the project. Generally speaking, the rates listed below are based on standard projects with moderate amounts of research. Rates are subject to negotiation depending on the nature of the project.

  • Writing

The following rates are for articles, blog posts, and other text.

200 words or less (quarter page): $25

250-350 words (half page): $35

400-550 words (one page): $45

600-750 words (one and a half pages): $55

800-1000 words (two pages): $65

For projects over 1000 words, the cost is $65 for the first 1000 words and $45 per page (as defined above) after that.

Rush jobs are charged at half again the regular price (a 25$ job would cost $37.50, for example). A rush job is defined as any job that is required within a shorter turn-around time than my current workload would normally accommodate.

I write on a wide range of topics, including herbal remedies, natural health, food and cooking, and parenting.  I’d love to hear what subjects you have in mind!

  • Editing

$50 per hour

$65 per hour for rush jobs

I charge by the hour rather than by the page for editing. This saves my clients and me the task of determining the extent of the editing needed, which can vary quite a bit in one document.  I have years of experience billing time (I used to be a legal assistant), so rest assured that I will only bill you for time actively spent editing your project.

Turnaround time varies according to project complexity, but I will give you an honest estimate after we discuss your project. I will be in contact with you throughout the project’s duration to inform you of my progress.

  • Telephone calls and emails are charged at my hourly rate listed above.

Payment by PayPal is preferred (my PayPal email is, but I will accept checks or money orders. I send out invoices between the 1st and the 5th of every month, and again between the 15th and the 20th, for work done the previous month. Payment is due by the 30th of the month in which you receive the invoice. Once payment is received, I will be glad to continue working on your project or discuss another one.
